BOSQUE INGRÁVIDO 173 is part of a series inspired by Magritte and contemporary surrealism. This work is part of a series that sublimates the natural and the impossible in a single vision. In “Ligthweight Forest” (note: keep original title? The original uses “Bosque Ingrávido” as title; translate as “Weightless Forest”), the trunks float without roots, stripped of the gravity that binds them to the ground. The landscape becomes a stage for the improbable: a forest that does not hold to the laws of physics, but to the rules of imagination. The reference to Magritte is not incidental: like him, the artist invites us to contemplate a world where the everyday becomes strange, and the impossible, evident.
