VIB briefcase/cabinet, a historic Milanese brand, very specific, best known for producing accessories for luxury cars and technical luggage between the 1950s and 1970s. The VIB suitcases (Very Important Baggage) are particularly sought after by classic car collectors (especially owners of Alfa Romeo, Lancia and Fiat from the golden era). They were often purchased as an extra accessory to fit perfectly to external roof racks or the narrow luggage compartments of spider convertibles and sports sedans. Complete with a double key and a name tag. Becomes a real cabinet with drawers, hangers, compartments and straps. Vertical-loading rigid suitcase (clamshell model), unlike modern suitcases that open flat on the bed, this one is designed to stay upright during use. The open space at the top is for slipping in clothes or jackets. The design allows hanging items on internal hangers or bars, sliding them in without having to fold them too much, thus reducing creases. The brass-colored rods serve both as structural reinforcement and as support for the internal hooks. Made from rigid synthetic material (ABS or reinforced plastic) with the typical "orange peel" finish of the era.
