Banco Nacional de Costa Rica, a hand-painted reverse composite essay for 20 Colones, ND (1941-44), no serial number or signatures, dark-green, black, and white colour, Colonial Church and Convent in Orosi forming majority of design, mounting traces on reverse, otherwise as made, a subtly beautiful Waterlow design showing remarkable brushwork and shading, the issued note ultimately being red in colour and very rare, a lovely Waterlow survivor BNB B412 for type, Pick 202 for type £200-£260.
