(https://www.invaluable.com/auction-lot/escuela-espanola-s-xviii-santo-tomas-de-villanuev-393-c-7ec41a2b39), [2] (https://www.subastasdarley.com/es/salas/lote/escuela-es.xix-santo-tomas-de-villanueva-dando-limosna/102/76098) It depicts Saint Thomas of Villanueva (archbishop of Valencia) dressed in robes and the episcopal mitre, giving alms to the beggars and the poor who prostrate themselves. Due to the characteristics of the support, the craquelure of the painting, and the gilded wooden frame, it is a workshop copy or a follower’s work (from the late 18th century or the 19th century) inspired by the original that is kept in the Museo de Bellas Artes de Sevilla.
