Basket - 1970 modern Century - Brass, Rattan - Gabriella Crespi style

Superb and rare oversized circular basket (XL size), made in Italy in the 1970s. This elegant piece fits perfectly into the Hollywood Regency style and the iconic creations of Gabriella Crespi or the Vivai del Sud house. It consists of a deep woven rattan structure (pencil reed style), highlighted by a wide upper border in gold-toned brass and topped with a tall fixed handle, also in brass. With its generous dimensions, this high-end basket can serve as a majestic centerpiece, a chic fruit basket, or a sophisticated magazine rack. • Origin: Italy • Era: 1970s • Style: Mid-Century Modern / Hollywood Regency • Materials: natural rattan, gold-tone brass Dimensions: 34 cm diameter Basket height alone: 27 cm Handle: 24 cm Total height: 51 cm The exterior bottom of the basket had been varnished by the previous owners; that is why it is darker than the rest. A small dent on the brass at the rim can be observed. The basket is over 50 years old. It is quite normal to observe minor wear related to its age. The basket will be shipped by a carrier such as Mondial Relay, FedEx, UPS, Chronopost, to a relay point or to a home, depending on the country and weight, as well as the availability of relay points in the country, in order to minimize shipping costs which include packaging and logistics fees, the shipping label, tracking and insurance commensurate with the final bid. Fast shipping, careful packing and appropriate protection.
