Battle of Jericho. Italy - Circle of Antonio Tempesta, 16th Century

Descriptio Oil on canvas. Dimensions 106 cm x 162 cm. A highly dynamic battle scene depicting the biblical episode of the Battle of Jericho, with a wide array of figures in combat, tense horses, and armed soldiers positioned on multiple planes. The composition is dense and vibrant, articulated by diagonals that guide the eye through the controlled chaos of the scene.
