Captivating edition of this illustrated album by Benjamin Rabier featuring the famous duck Gédéon in an adventure under the sign of technique, invention and mechanical progress, themes particularly fascinating for the interwar public - Always animated by insatiable curiosity and boundless enthusiasm, Gédéon discovers the world of machines and soon nourishes the ambition to become a mechanic capable of understanding, repairing and even designing various devices - Charmed by the wonders of modern mechanics, he launches into a series of experiments that lead him to handle tools, engines, vehicles and ingenious devices, often with more goodwill than real skill - This new passion gives rise to a succession of comical situations where the hero's projects frequently turn to the unexpected. The repairs he undertakes sometimes cause even more serious breakdowns, the machines he handles escape his control, and the inventions he imagines produce unexpected results that amuse both his companions and the reader - Benjamin Rabier - Gedeon Mecano - 1927 - Garnier Frères - 48 Pages. Good condition of the binding, the work in its full illustrated original hardback, binding under protective cellophane, wear from handling, the two boards are rubbed, spine smooth and mute, first board titled and nicely illustrated - Very good interior condition, title in blue, the work enriched with fine color engravings in text and on plates, interior rather fresh, a fine copy - Delivery service assured within a few days –
