A surprising and rare work by Bernard Aubertin, a key figure of the ZERO movement, created in 2012: a Giant Nail that transforms a daily object into a symbol of energy, vertical tension, and pure visual impact. The nail, made of iron and coated with a vibrant red varnish, rises on a wooden base, enclosed in a Plexiglas box that enhances its sculptural presence and formal clarity. The red—the unmistakable signature of Aubertin—radiates across the polished metal surface, generating reflections that change with light and the viewer's position. At its dimensions of 30 × 14.5 × 14.5 cm, this sculpture is ideal for collectors, galleries, and admirers of conceptual art and ZERO aesthetics. The work embodies Aubertin's exploration of repetition, materiality, and the transformation of a simple object into an iconic and almost ritual element.
