Binoculars - 1850-1900 - France

Old binoculars bearing the signature of Baer Opticien, located at the Palais-Royal, Galerie du Théâtre-Français. 4, near La Maison Chevet in Paris. They feature a body covered with a textured brown material, shiny black optical elements, and a central focusing wheel. The set comes with its original case lined with violet velvet and bearing the manufacturer’s gold inscription on the inside of the lid. Old condition with signs of wear due to age and use. The case is particularly damaged, with wear marks on the outside and deterioration of some interior finishes. The binoculars also show signs of use; see photos, they are part of the description. The wheel and the binoculars function well. An interesting collection set for enthusiasts of antique optical instruments, theatre objects, and Parisian antiques.
