Blue and White Glazed Ceramic Chef Decanter and Cup Set

A seven-piece ceramic beverage set featuring a character decanter with a matching stopper, four small cups, and an oval tray. The set is finished in a light blue monochromatic glaze over a white ground, highlighting the relief-molded details. The decanter is modeled as a chef or tavern keeper wearing a toque and an apron inscribed with the phrase I am always full! standing before a tree stump. Four matching cups are modeled as smiling faces wearing hats, and the oval tray features a basketweave texture. The underside of one cup bears incised characters that appear to read Japan, while another is marked 7230. The decanter base has an unglazed recessed foot with no visible maker name.
