Bowl - In the manner of Louis Wolfers - Art Nouveau - .800 silver

A superb Belgian cut glass centerpiece bowl with solid silver rims, measuring circa 19,3cm in diameter and weighing 799g, the base rim chiseled and sculpted to represent choppy waves, in a manner attributed to the workshops of Louis Wolfers. ASCAS Online notes that Wolfers and his sons were heavily influenced by Japanese woodblock prints, often emulating the wave patterns seen on these artworks. Stamped 800M to the base rim. Condition: Very good, no significant damages or repairs. Minor wear commensurate with age. This lot will be carefully packaged and sent by registered and insured mail.
