Bowl - Silverplated, Crystal

Silver-Plated & Etched Crystal Footed Centerpiece Bowl, circa 1910 This refined French footed centerpiece bowl, dating to circa 1880, is a beautiful example of 19th-century elegance and craftsmanship. The base is crafted from silver-plated bronze, featuring a flared pedestal and detailed with a finely cast garland frieze. The silver plating has developed a warm, authentic patina that enhances its antique charm. The centerpiece includes its original removable etched crystal insert, gracefully adorned with a stylized dot and leaf motif around the rim. The crystal bowl fits snugly into the silver-plated base, allowing it to be used together or separately for serving fruit, presenting flowers, or as a decorative display. The interior of the base is richly gilded, reflecting a warm golden tone that complements the brilliance of the crystal insert. Whether placed on a dining table, a console, or as a focal point in a curated vignette, this piece offers both timeless beauty and versatility. In excellent antique condition with minor surface wear consistent with age. The crystal bowl is clear and free of chips or cracks. A charming addition to any collection of fine antique tableware or French decorative arts.
