Manufacture / Origin: Italy stamped FROV (Fabbriche Riunite Oreficerie Vicentine) on the back of the central setting. Era: Late 19th Century / Early 20th Century (full Victorian era / Renaissance Revival style) Materials: Yellow/pink gold, natural pearls (scaramazze) hand-painted multicolored enamel on a porcelain plaque small cabochon-cut emerald at the base. Aesthetic Details: The front is characterized by a refined circular medallion depicting in profile a noblewoman with an updo and Renaissance-era attire. The mount is enriched by pierced work with geometric scrolls and foliate decorations, embellished with pearls arranged in a clover pattern and along the side curls. Two smooth bands on the back. Excellent period-appropriate condition for the object's age. The enamel is intact and free of noticeable flaws, the pearls are contemporary and well secured, the clasp and hinge are perfectly functional.
