Origin and Manufacture: This articulated watch bracelet is a one-of-a-kind commissioned piece made in the mid-1960s at the prestigious workshops of Joyerías Mercurio (Panamá). Custom Design: The bracelet was tailor-made, masterfully incorporating my father Francisco Pancho Payá’s initials, "P.P.", applied in a mirror-polished three-dimensional relief on the gold body. Nature of the Gift: The piece was a personal institutional gift from Mr. Henry Sommerfreund (founder and magnate of Joyerías Mercurio) to my father, in recognition of his work as a manager at the company.
