Brazier - Brass, Copper

Large antique brass pierced and copper brazier - Zoomorphic feet and female figure – Late 19th / early 20th century Elegant and scenographic antique brazier in brass, characterized by rich pierced work, a circular structure on three zoomorphic feet and a tall domed lid topped by a draped female figure. The body features decorative pierced bands with geometric and vegetal motifs, alternating with turned and worked surfaces. The bottom rests on three ornamental supports with lion-head references, while the lid ends with a classical-style figurative element. Inside there is a removable hammered copper tray, with a central iron handle, intended to hold the embers. An additional brass accessory with a spatula-like end is included. The ensemble represents an interesting example of historic domestic objets d'art, today particularly appreciated as a decorative furnishing complement. The production is plausibly dated to the late 19th and early decades of the 20th century, within European eclectic and historicist taste.
