Bronze set – two Thai temple figures with green patina...

Decorative two-piece bronze set with two richly adorned Southeast Asian figures. The set consists of a standing and a kneeling figure. Both wear elaborately crafted traditional garments, tall headdresses, as well as numerous jewelry and ornamental details. Particularly characteristic is the combination of a strong green-to-turquoise patina and gold-colored highlighted areas. The standing figure is depicted in an elegant, lightly curved pose. One hand is brought to the face, while the other arm hangs down at the side. The body is adorned with richly decorated jewelry and an elaborately structured garment. Flame-shaped ornaments are located at the sides of the head. The figure stands on a separate black plinth. The second figure is depicted in a kneeling posture and wears a tall, sharply tapering headdress. Its hands are brought forward and hold or present a small element. Here too, the garment, jewelry, bracelets, and headdress are very intricately worked. The figures have a pronounced decorative patina with green, turquoise, dark and gold-colored areas. Age- and use-related surface traces, wear, discolorations and small irregularities are present and emphasize the characteristic overall impression.
