Refined and authentic piece of Italian furniture from the 1930s: a storage cabinet / mobile bar in full Art Deco style. This piece perfectly embodies the geometric taste and formal research of the modernist period, combining fine materials and high-quality craftsmanship details. The structure is entirely veneered in walnut wood, which showcases a splendid warm natural flame grain on the top and sides. The true distinguishing element of the cabinet is the front, characterized by two vertical doors decorated with a pleated, grooved pattern (accordion-folding work) that was very popular in the 1930s. The doors open via the original dark-bronze metal handles and reveal a clean, intact interior space, divided by a shelf. The body rests on four tall, curved and shaped legs, elegantly lacquered in black, creating a strong color contrast and elongating the silhouette of the piece, lightening its visual impact. Originating as a living room service cabinet (CD player holder, liquors, or documents), today it is an eclectic modern-art piece, perfect as an entrance cabinet, a sought-after bar cabinet, or a statement piece in a contemporary living room. The cabinet is presented in good vintage structural condition, solid, intact, and stable, with a beautiful patina of age due to its nearly one hundred years of history. Presence of wear and widespread but light missing black varnish along the shaped edge of the upper top and at the upper joints of the curved legs. Small superficial scratches from use and slight signs of time on the sharp edges and the bottom edge of the doors. Original interior compartment well preserved, free of structural modifications.
