Caméléon en bronze

This image shows a stylized sculpture representing a chameleon. The work, made in a material with a metallic or patinated bronze-like appearance, features an elongated and simplified form, with engraved details: The head is rounded, with a large circular eye in relief and an open mouth showing finely sculpted teeth. The back is decorated with geometric crosshatch motifs and serrated edges. The tail is curled in a spiral with marked concentric ridges. The legs are straight and rigid, fixed in a way that supports the sculpture. The style and technique evoke African traditional art, perhaps stemming from artisanal metallurgy of West Africa.
