Atmospheric and particularly decorative beach scene by the French painter Camille Rousseau (1949), executed in oil on a wooden panel. The painting shows a lively scene on the beach of Wimereux, the characterful resort on the French Opal Coast. A party of elegantly dressed beachgoers enjoys a day by the sea. Central in the composition are several ladies in long, colorful dresses, while other visitors are portrayed sitting or strolling along the beach.
