Cartier - Santos (Acero Cepillado y Plaqué Oro) - No reserve price - Pen

A0000005790 CARTIER SANTOS BICOLOR BALLPOINT PEN (PARIS, FRANCE): We present at auction an elegant, robust writing instrument with an unmistakable design: the Cartier Santos ballpoint pen. Born as a homage to aviation pioneer Alberto Santos-Dumont, this collection is characterized by incorporating industrial aesthetics into fine jewelry, with its most distinctive feature being the use of visible screws. This piece in particular stands out for its attractive two-tone finish. The cylindrical body is made of steel and features a refined matte brushed treatment that feels exceptionally pleasant to the touch and highly resistant to daily use. This grayish finish strongly highlights the brilliant gold plating on the conical tip, the top push button, and the sturdy ribbed clip, which is anchored to the body by a ring secured by the iconic Santos screws. In the crown of the push button, the historic double ‘C’ Cartier emblem can be seen finely engraved, accompanied by its corresponding individual serial number attesting to its authenticity. Condition Report (Expert Review) We invite bidders to carefully examine the photographic gallery to verify the superb condition of this piece: Steel Body: The brushed finish is in excellent condition, with no dents or dings, perfectly concealing any signs of use. Gold-Plated Elements: The gold plating maintains a spectacular luster. It shows only very light micro-scratches ("hairs") from normal and careful use, with no evident plating loss. Mechanism: The push mechanism operates smoothly and precisely. (Note: It is delivered as is, without original case. The current ink refill may need to be replaced for optimal use). Shipping The item will be carefully protected and securely packaged, with insured shipping and an international tracking number. A fantastic opportunity to acquire a timeless Cartier classic, ideal as a daily signing instrument! Best of luck to all bidders!
