Ceremonial dance cover for queen mother, probably grasslands people, Cameroon

Descriptio Glass beads and organic materials. Dimensions: 120 x 80 x 5 cm. A visually striking African ceremonial piece, elaborately decorated with glass beads on an organic support and presented in a custom-made frame. Its stylized, frontal silhouette, enriched by an elaborate geometric and chromatic design, corresponds to a typology linked to attire and the ritual representation of female power within courtly and ceremonial contexts. The rich ornamentation of the beadwork, along with the presence of hanging elements and the careful symmetry of the composition, reinforces its status as a prestigious object, conceived not only for performative use in dance, but also as an emblem of rank, authority, and representation. The piece stands out for its strong aesthetic presence and the technical refinement of its execution. Lot in international warehouse (within the EU). Intra-EU shipping: no import duties apply within the EU. An export permit from the country of origin may be required. Due to its age and history of use, this lot may show signs of wear and previous interventions. Unless explicitly stated otherwise, no specialized technical testing has been performed.
