Vintage Cerruti 1881 Superissimo 120’s Pinstripe Blazer – Made in Italy – Size 52 Elegant vintage Cerruti 1881 blazer, dating approximately from the early/mid 1990s. Made in Italy from Cerruti Superissimo 120’s, a fine pure wool suiting fabric produced by the historic Cerruti textile mill in Biella. Cerruti has an unusually rich textile heritage among Italian fashion houses. The Cerruti family’s Lanificio Fratelli Cerruti was established in Biella long before Cerruti 1881 developed into an internationally renowned fashion house. This jacket therefore combines Cerruti 1881 tailoring with fabric from Cerruti’s own textile production. Deep black/charcoal with subtle pinstripes. Classic three-button construction with a surprisingly clean and tailored silhouette for its era – balanced shoulders, elegant proportions and considerably less oversized than many jackets from the period. A particularly nice example of vintage Italian tailoring, combining Cerruti’s menswear heritage with the fine wool fabrics for which the house has historically been known.
