Walnut dresser or chest of drawers, 2nd quarter of the 19th century. Walnut top, escutcheons with shield keys. Walnut veneer beautifully continuous in pattern across the drawers and top. No cracks in the sides. Back panel and drawer bottoms of fine pine. Locks present with a working key. Secret or blind drawer in the cornice and plinth. Germany, good quality, around 1820-1840. Dimensions: H = 94 cm. W = 122 - 131 cm. (narrowest to widest) D = 59 - 63 cm. (shallowest to deepest) Recently thoroughly checked for loose parts of construction and veneer.
