CHAOS WITHIN 50X60cm Acrylics on board 2026 In this painting I wanted to imprint the dense materiality of acrylic on board to give voice to what words often fail to contain. This face is me, or rather, it is the mirror of that moment when the external world fades and I find myself reckoning with my inner universe. The bowed face sculpted in the material tells of contemplation, the tiredness of a held-back emotion, and the need to look inside, even when it hurts. What happens in the upper part of the board is the exact portrait of what I feel: a chaotic, dense tangle. The violet shades, thick whites and deep blacks merge and clash like the thoughts that crowd my mind, a relentless flow that sometimes seems to want to overwhelm me. Those black marks that cut and scratch the composition are my fragile boundaries, the tensions and connections between my fragilities and the search for an impossible yet necessary balance. This painting is my refuge and my confession: a way to touch with my own hands the chaos inside me and transform it into a form that I can finally embrace. The painting is made with acrylics on board. I created a matte background with water-based paint, then I painted the subject with acrylics and afterwards used a transparent glossy protective varnish. My artistic path has always centered the female figure, a subject that over time has evolved, transforming from a traditional figurative representation to a decidedly more intimate and conceptual quest. Today my production focuses on faceless women. In place of facial features, the faces embrace evocative landscapes that fuse the human element with nature, projecting the viewer into a decidedly surreal scenario. The figure thus becomes a doorway to inner worlds, where personal identity dissolves to make space for a universal, timeless presence. Technically, the support I use is wood panel. On this solid and living surface I first create a base collage by layering newspaper pages glued with white water-based paint: it builds textures and visual suggestions. Subsequently, I intervene with acrylic painting. This layered process allows me to achieve a strongly tactile result, where the depth of the background dialogues with color, giving the finished work a unique tactile and visual depth. I have participated in several group and solo exhibitions.
