Beijing Chinese Rug Art Deco – Pure Silk – 1940–1950 – 241 × 167 cm We present an elegant and refined Beijing Chinese rug in Art Deco design, dating approximately between 1940 and 1950. A piece especially decorative, made 100% by hand in pure silk, characterized by its extraordinary fineness, flexibility and the precious natural sheen of silk, which slightly changes tone depending on the direction of the light and the pile. The design features a typically oriental composition with floral motifs and birds, arranged on geometric shapes inspired by Art Deco. The combination of beige, cream, powder pink, blue and green creates an elegant and very distinctive composition. Characteristics: * Origin: China – Beijing * Period: 1940–1950 * Style: Art Deco * Dimensions: 241 × 167 cm * Material: 100% pure silk * Manufacture: 100% handmade * Very fine rug, flexible, soft and glossy * High quality workmanship The rug is in very good condition considering its age. It presents a small area with some superficial wear to the pile, visible in the photographs, but without affecting the rug's structure. You may also notice some small threads or fibers that are slightly raised, something that can be easily corrected with a light professional trim. It shows no breaks or major stains. A rug of great quality and strong decorative presence, suitable both for collectors and interiors in classical, Art Deco or contemporary styles. The photographs are part of the description; we recommend examining them closely to appreciate the condition, details and the silk's shine. Each of our rugs is delivered with a certificate of authenticity, indicating its measurements, approximate age, materials and origin.
