China - Carpet - 163 cm - 128 cm - Chinese wool rug

On a warm beige background, a symmetrical design of vase motifs, blossoms, and fan-shaped foliar branches unfolds. A star-shaped floral rosette forms the center of this hand-knotted wool rug from China. Red and pinkish details provide warm accents, while bluish-gray sections and dark outlines highlight the individual motifs. The broad dark blue border forms an expressive frame. Large, pointy-ended flowers alternate with circularly curved tendrils of leaves. Narrow red patterned bands with small flowers accompany the border. Light fringes on both shorter sides complete the design. With dimensions of 163 × 128 cm, this rectangular Oriental rug is suitable as an accent in front of a small sofa, in a reading nook, or beside the bed. Beige and cream upholstery echo the light base tone. Dark wooden furniture complements the vivid frame, while blue or red cushions pick up individual motif colors. Thanks to the clearly arranged motifs, the rug stands out particularly beside simple furniture.
