Intriguing Chi Tung Bank 5 Yuan Printer's Model CHINA--PUPPET BANKS. Chi Tung Bank. 5 Yuan, ND (ca.1930s). P-J115pm1. Front Printer's Model. PMG Choice Uncirculated 63 EPQ. An awesome printer's model of an unadopted design for the 5 Yuan of 1937. This model is coloured in grey-blue and yellow, with the Wen Shu Tower in Tong County at the centre, cusped by two leaved branches. This is noticeably different to the issued note, which was printed in purple with the Wen Shu Tower on the right side, with geometric guilloche borders at left and right. These models were usually handmade, unique and were not supposed to leave the printer's offices, making them exceedingly rare. Here is your chance to own a piece of rare pre-production material! Estimate: $1,000 - $1,500. PMG Choice Uncirculated 63 EPQ.
