England's Entrant into the "Junk" Dollar Design Contest CHINA. Silver Dollar Pattern, Year 18 (1929). Hangchow Mint. PCGS Genuine--Cleaned, AU Details. L&M-94; K-615; KM-Pn99; WS-0138; Chang-CH196; Wenchao-909 (rarity: ★★). British design from London Mint dies. An intriguing and more tactile design that most of the others in this concept contest, with the bust of Sun Yat-sen as well as the roiling waves upon the sea rising up in relief. Some cleaning and very light wear is noted, but this pattern crown nevertheless offers pleasing eye appeal and an engaging overall appearance. Estimate: $10,000 - $20,000.
