Important and rare vintage Christmas lot from the 1950s-1960s: 25 ornaments, over 36 meters of mercury glass garlands, and 2 working light chains in their original box: it captures the true essence of Mid-Century Christmas decorations. - Mercury Glass Single Ornaments (25 Pieces) - Mercury Glass Ball Chains and Garlands (Over 36 Total Meters) exceptional quantity of mirrored ball chains, very hard to find today in a single block: Blue: 1 garland 10 meters long (ball diameter 1 cm) – a very rare chromatic variant for the era, • Gold: 1 garland 3.70 meters (diameter 1 cm) + 1 garland 2.40 meters (diameter 2 cm) • Red: 1 garland 2.40 meters (diameter 2 cm) • Silver: 6 garlands of 3 meters each (18 meters total, diameter 2 cm) + 1 garland 1.60 meters (diameter 3 cm, with large balls). - 2 light chains with original box of 20 lights each (40 light points total) characterized by gold-colored candle-holders 6 cm long (excluding the metal clamp for attaching to the branches). The boxes are original from the era, both chains are perfectly functional as shown in the photos. All mercury glass items feature a charming and authentic patina of time and natural signs of surface wear accumulated over about 60 years of history: they may show color loss, discoloration, minor damage. For details see the photos. Given this is an original 1960s electrical setup, the light chains are offered as historical collectible items. Although they are perfectly functional at the time of testing, a check is recommended if you intend to use them for heavy and prolonged domestic use. They will be packed very carefully for shipping in a double box, risk borne by the buyer.
