Christofle - Salt and pepper shakers - Silverplated

Antique double salt cellars, /, condiment/serving holder with silver-plated interior France, early 20th century Refined and elegant double salt cellar / table condiment holder produced by the prestigious French maison Christofle. The piece consists of 2 small bowls joined by a practical and elegant central ring handle. The exterior is adorned with a delicate motif incised along the upper band, of leaves and spines, while the interiors of the containers feature a lasting characteristic, originally conceived to preserve the metal from the corrosive action of salt. On the bottom are clearly visible and stamped the original Christofle marks, the manufacturer’s guarantee punches, and the serial number 1341410. Approximate dimensions Width 8.5 cm Height 6 cm Depth 4.5 cm Weight 70 g Conditions: Good overall vintage condition, commensurate with age. It shows a natural patina on the outer silver plating and slight signs of oxidation / gilding bloom inside the bowls, as clearly shown in the attached photographs. No dents or structural defects.
