Antique French mantel clock set in red marble & bronze/brass – 3-piece set around 1900 Description: For sale is a magnificent, three-piece antique mantel clock set (pendule with two matching candelabras) from the late 19th century / around 1900. The set captivates with its noble combination of elegant, red veined marble (Rouge Royale) and richly decorated bronze or brass appliqués. Details at a glance: • Clock (Pendule): Central piece in an architectural red marble case, adorned with ornamental metal feet, side volutes, and a decorative vase topper. The white enamel dial shows classic numerals and delicate hands behind a glazed bezel. • Candelabras (Kerzenleuchter): Two multi-armed, stylistically perfectly matched to the clock. They also stand on solid marble bases with decorative feet and offer space for several candles each. On one candelabra a piece has broken off, which we have glued back. It is no longer visible, so I cannot photograph it. Otherwise in good condition. • Style & Period: Historicism / Gründerzeit (France, ca. 1880–1910). An absolutely eye-catching piece for collectors and lovers of antique furnishings.
