Ernst Hecker Aue – Rare Art Deco / Bauhaus Coffee Core Service (3-piece) – ca. 1925 Beautiful and stylish, original 3-piece coffee set from the long-established Saxon metalware factory Ernst Hecker in Aue. The set is an excellent example of German Art Deco from early Bauhaus Central Europe (ca. 1920–1930). Timeless, strictly geometric and functional design with noble vertical contouring (ribbed decoration) on the sides of the bodies. A fantastic contrast to the glossy metal is the square-edged heat-protective handle of the coffee pot made from darkly lacquered wood. The creamer features the typical noble internal gilding characteristic of Hecker. The set consists of: Large coffee pot with hinged lid and square wooden handle. The hinge still operates very tightly and has not worn loose. Sugar bowl with ribbed plug lid and two side handles. Creamer with internal gilding. Dimensions: Coffee pot: height approx. 20 cm | width (spout to handle) approx. 21 cm Sugar bowl: height approx. 10.5 cm | diameter approx. 10 cm Creamer: height approx. 9 cm Condition: The service is in a beautiful, age-appropriate vintage condition. It shows only minimal, age-related signs of use and light wear on the glossy surface. The coffee pot has a small, barely visible and unobtrusive dent. The structure is completely stable, the lids close perfectly. The hinge on the pot runs tightly. The set was deliberately not chemically polished to preserve the original character. Mark: On the undersides of the pieces is the famous historic maker mark of Ernst Hecker: the stork in the triangle.
