COLLECTION OF CELTIC BRONZE BANGLES

Ca. 300 - 1 BC. A collection of four bronze bangles, including, from top left: a substantial bangle of rounded section with broad, overlapping flattened terminals; a penannular bangle of D-section with a raised transverse collar at the centre of the outer face; a thick open-ended bangle decorated with broad spiral ribs and terminating in flattened, oval finials; and a penannular bangle with a twisted rope-like body and overlapping, tapering terminals. Size: 60-80mm x 60-65mm; Weight: 320g Provenance: Private London collection; acquired in Munich, Germany in the 1990s.
