United States Lines, American Line, and Inman Line. Collection of ocean liner ephemera in printed paper and cardstock, dating from 1901 to 1964. The grouping includes several United States Lines passenger list booklets with red and blue diagonal stripe covers, including one dated April 15-17, 1956 for the S.S. United States listing Captains Leroy J. Alexanderson and Richard W. Ridington (photo 3). Featured are two souvenir logs with daily technical abstracts for the S.S. United States (Voyage 228, 1962) under Commodore John W. Anderson and the S.S. America (Voyage 302, 1964) under Captain J. R. Pender. Historical pieces include a 1901 Pan-American Exposition promotional card for the American Line and an Inman Line trade card for the City of Rome with a printed mark for agent John G. Dale of 31 and 33 Broadway, New York. Various maritime and harbor scene postcards are also included. Items are housed in individual plastic sleeves. Dimensions: See Desc.
