Corneille – Gelderland (2004) Technique: Lithograph Dimensions: 60 x 40 cm Condition: In good condition, never framed The edition number may differ from the photo. This colorful lithograph titled “Gelderland” is a work by Corneille (1922–2010), one of the co-founders of the CoBrA movement (together with, among others, Karel Appel and Constant). His work is characterized by bright colors, playful shapes and recurring themes such as birds, women and exotic landscapes. This lithograph, printed in 2004, is numbered from 200 copies and is in excellent condition. The work has never been framed, which has kept the colors exceptionally fresh. Corneille’s art remains globally loved for its expressive style and optimistic feel — Gelderland is a fine example of his late, mature period in which color and imagination are central.
