Maes / Magne / Vietto "Le Tour de France 1936 Important lot of 70 captioned silver photographs from the Paris-Soir newspaper 15 x 20 cm (full set available on request) Rarely has such a reconstruction of the 1936 Tour been seen. From the start (punching the clock) to the apotheosis at the Parc (victory of Luxembourger A. Mersch), everything is illustrated in this corpus: the floods in Lille, Egli in yellow, Speicher's retirement, Vietto's chain, Lesueur giving his wheel to Antonin, and above all, Sylvère Maes, succeeding Romain. The highlight: Antonin Magne becomes world champion
