D - Uli - "Ich denke, also bin ich" (I think, so I am)

Directly from the gallery "D uli - Arts" This artwork is from the series "Hommage a´ Yves Klein" Yves Klein was, with Andy Warhol and Jeff Koons, one of the co-founders of Pop Art. His unforgettable "Blue Quadrant" with the most beautiful and intense blue I have ever seen. All objects have been produced with elaborate hand craftsmanship. This is not about symmetry or perfection of the sculpture; rather, it is a reflection of human diversity with all its differences. “I think, therefore I am” (Latin: cogito, ergo sum) is a central phrase of the French philosopher René Descartes (1596–1650), considered the foundation of modern rationalism. It means that the act of doubting or thinking itself proves the existence of the thinker, i.e., the individual. Hand-signed Editions no. 8/30 The ultramarine blue color is created by me personally from pigment in a specific formula. Thanks to this formula, this blue is matte, velvety in the surface, and absorbs light. This means that the less light that falls on the sculpture, the more intensely the blue glows. Total weight approx. 1 kg My artworks are presented at art fairs such as Cologne, Dresden, Frankfurt, Paris, Luxembourg, Hamburg, Munich, Monaco, Strasbourg... My Pop Art connects art and everyday life. An essential feature of Pop Art is the often trivial objects known from everyday life, from popular culture, media and advertising. The motifs used are torn from their original context, changed by me, and thereby given new life as an "art object".
