Alla auktioner / Leksaker & Samlarföremål / daveY - KAWS LEGO –"Urban Vandal (Neon Splatter)"
In this piece, a visual artwork with a rebellious character and disruptive energy, part of the "Concrete & Colors" collection, a series dedicated to underground culture, Street Art and the pulsating heartbeat of contemporary metropolises. The work, entitled "Urban Vandal (Neon Splatter)", reinterprets the famous figure of KAWS by placing it at the heart of urban nightlife. The sculpture, entirely made with bricks on a concrete gray base, appears as a metropolitan canvas artfully "vandalized": it is covered with vivid sprays and splashes of fluorescent paint in shades of hot pink, cyan blue, orange and white. The hands, clad in glossy black gloves with textured surfaces, cover the face in the character's classic introspective pose. The setting is a evocative nighttime street scene, beneath an overpass illuminated by the warm glow of street lamps. The realism of the scene is heightened by the wet asphalt, which perfectly reflects the neon glow of the paint and the city lights, while in the blurred background a wall entirely covered with real graffiti looms.
