ew Series – Lost Souls David Law Photographic Artist – Creator of Contemporary Images A multidisciplinary photographic artist, author and musician, David Law develops work centered on gaze, presence and the perception of the image in urban space. He first became known for a series devoted to shop window mannequins, integrated into the city through a subtle play of reflections and superpositions. This exploration of gaze and presence gave birth to an art book published in 2021. Subsequently captivated by the singular aesthetics of collectible dolls and Japanese figurines, he extends this reflection by staging them in the streets of Paris and other European capitals. Through framing, light and composition, these inanimate models acquire a troubling, almost living presence, challenging our relationship to illusion and projection. New Series – Lost Souls With this series, David Law dives into pared-down, dark universes, inhabited by suspended, ghostly silhouettes. These indistinct, almost erased presences wander through strange landscapes where emptiness becomes matter. Through a visual language built with contemporary graphic tools, the artist explores notions of isolation, trace and memory. A silent crossing, at the borders of the visible and the invisible. Edition & Fabrication Each work is offered in a limited edition of 8 numbered copies + 4 artist proofs (A.P.), signed by the artist and accompanied by a certificate of authenticity. The prints are produced on aluminum with an integrated rear mount. Printing on luminous white vinyl, mounted between two aluminum panels, with soft UV- and humidity-resistant lamination, ensuring excellent durability, great long-term resistance, color stability and a modern, contemporary rendering. Parcours Since 2014, David Law participates in about twenty contemporary art fairs per year in France and Europe. He is also the dedicated photographer and videographer for several organizers of contemporary art fairs. In parallel with his visual activity, he develops an author and musician portfolio including 3 novels, a collection of short stories, a graphic novel, a photography book and 5 self-produced CDs. A singer-guitarist, he currently performs with the group FRENZY.
