ew series – The Dreamed Shadows Photographer-Artist – Creator of contemporary imagery Multidisciplinary photographer-artist, author and musician, David Law develops work focused on gaze, presence and the perception of the image in urban space. He first gained recognition with a series devoted to storefront mannequins, integrated into the city through a subtle play of reflections and superimpositions. This exploration of gaze and presence gave rise to an art book published in 2021. Later intrigued by the singular aesthetics of collectible dolls and Japanese figurines, he extends this reflection by staging them in the streets of Paris and other European capitals. Through framing, light and composition, these inanimate models acquire a troubling, almost living presence, questioning our relationship with illusion and projection. New series – The Dreamed Shadows The Dreamed Shadows explore the boundary between presence and disappearance. A female silhouette takes shape through backlit veils, forming an image that seems both real and dreamlike. Edition & Manufacture Each work is offered in a limited edition of 8 numbered copies + 4 artist proofs (A.P.), signed by the artist and accompanied by a certificate of authenticity. The prints are made on aluminum with an integrated back mount. Printed on bright white vinyl, mounted between two aluminum plates, with a soft UV- and humidity-resistant lamination, guaranteeing excellent durability, long-term resilience, color stability and a modern, contemporary look. Parcours Since 2014, David Law has participated in about twenty contemporary art fairs per year in France and Europe. He is also the appointed photographer and videographer for several organizers of contemporary art fairs. Alongside his visual work, he develops an authorial and musician career including 3 novels, a collection of short stories, a graphic novel, a photo book and 5 self-produced CDs. A singer-guitarist, he is currently performing with the band FRENZY.
