De Coene

et of nine original Domus chairs, designed by Ilmari Tapiovaara in 1946 for the Domus Academica student housing in Helsinki and internationally known as the Finn Chair. The remaining chairs are structurally identical and come from the same lot. Solid birch frame, bent plywood seat and backrest, backrest fixed with three screws. Warm honey colour with flame figuring in the veneer. Condition: used vintage condition, not restored, original finish with patina. Frames are solid and all chairs are fully usable. One chair has a loose backrest; all parts are present. All defects are photographed. A tenth chair with a detached backrest (all parts complete) is included in this lot at no extra cost. The current Artek edition retails at approximately 900 euros per chair.
