DE DECKER (Marie-Laure) — PROFESSION? PHOTOJOURNALIST DE DECKER (Marie-Laure). Profession? Photojournalist. Interview with Annie Lorenzo. Preface by Édouard Boubat. Paris, Ch. Massin, [1980s]. Quarto, illustrated hardcover, numerous black-and-white photographs. MARIE-LAURE DE DECKER’S ACCOUNT OF THE PROFESSION OF PHOTOJOURNALIST. The book is structured around a lengthy interview with Marie-Laure de Decker, illustrated with her own photographs and photo essays. She discusses, in particular, Vietnam, her travels to the USSR, Japan, and Africa, her portraits, and her approach to working in the field. Numerous photojournalistic images, including one of an American pilot in Da Nang in 1970, as well as a self-portrait taken inside an American helicopter in Vietnam. The foreword is by Édouard Boubat. Condition: generally good; hardcover with some scuffing and signs of wear, interior well-preserved.
