Delicate Ring with Green-Yellow Tourmaline & Diamonds in Gold, from

Some time ago, we were fortunate enough to acquire a collection of tourmalines and beryls that had been lying dormant in a Stockholm gem dealer’s warehouse since the 1950s. Our goldsmiths designed a ring to showcase each of these gemstones, accompanied by six diamonds—crafted from sustainable materials, with diamonds that also carry their own history, thereby breathing new life into these historic materials. Most of the original stones have now been sold. But when we discovered a small collection of unmounted tourmalines, we couldn’t resist and had these stones set into our ring. They are tourmalines in a light, greenish-yellow hue with delicate, natural inclusions. Depending on the angle of the light, this colored gemstone shimmers in a radiant yellow with a slight greenish tint. The tourmaline is accompanied by six sparkling diamonds—three on the right and three on the left—which add white highlights to the iridescent tourmaline. As with all rings in this series, the gold and diamonds are sustainably sourced. They come from pieces of jewellery that, unfortunately, were in such poor condition that they could no longer be restored. Here, however, in a new form, they can begin a new life. The tourmaline, in particular, is being used in a piece of jewellery for the very first time. We love this ring design because it’s simple and lets the beautiful gemstone take center stage.
