Delicate Ring with Reddish-Brown Tourmaline & Diamonds in Gold, from

Some time ago, we were fortunate enough to acquire a large collection of tourmalines and beryls that had been lying dormant in a Stockholm gem dealer’s warehouse since the 1950s. Our goldsmiths designed a ring to showcase one of these gemstones, each accompanied by six diamonds. Crafted from sustainable materials and featuring diamonds that also carry their own history—thus breathing new life into these historic materials. When we recently discovered a small collection of tourmalines in an unusual reddish-brown colour, we couldn’t resist and set these stones into the delicate ring as well. Each is a natural gemstone with delicate, natural inclusions. It is accompanied by six sparkling diamonds—three on the right and three on the left—which add white highlights to the tourmaline’s rich hue. Depending on the angle of the light, the colored gemstone shimmers in shades ranging from mauve to a gently sparkling warm red with a hint of copper-brown. As with all rings in this series, the gold and diamonds are sustainably sourced. They come from pieces of jewellery that, unfortunately, were beyond repair. Here, however, in a new form, they too can begin a new life. This is the first time the tourmaline has been featured in a piece of jewellery. We love this ring because it’s simple and lets the beautiful gemstone take center stage. It also pairs wonderfully with other pieces of jewellery. Which of the sparkling colours do you like best?
