Demetre Haralamb Chiparus (1886-1947) - after - Sculpture

A beautiful bronze sculpture depicting an Egyptian dancer standing on tiptoe, with her arms raised above her head. She wears an elaborate costume decorated with starfish motifs. The sculpture is made in the Art Deco style, after the work of the renowned Romanian sculptor Demetre Haralamb Chiparus (1886–1947), who was particularly known for his dancer sculptures. It is made of high-quality bronze and finished with soft pastel colours, which beautifully highlight the details of her costume. The sculpture is mounted on a square, tiered marble base with decorative bronze detailing. Dimensions: 46 x 11 x 11 cm. Weight: 3.3 kg. Signature: D.H. Chiparus. Condition: excellent (see images).
