DHR Holland - Lamp - Brass, Glass - Trawler lamp

Beautiful old electrified maritime oil lamp. Made by Den Haan Rotterdam. Kosmos Brenner burner. This company was founded in Rotterdam, Holland, in 1922. DHR began as a manufacturer of navigation and interior lighting for inland shipping and seagoing vessels. All lamps, many of them replicas of old models, are handmade. This is a beautiful, old, solid brass oil lamp and is in good vintage condition. The lamp has been cleaned but deliberately not polished, so the lovely antique patina is preserved. The burner is from Kosmos Brenner, this has been converted to electric. On the bottom is the D.H.R Holland mark. Text via AI: This object is an authentic brass trawler lamp from the well-known Dutch manufacturer DHR (Den Haan Rotterdam). This type of lamp was traditionally used in the maritime sector aboard ships (such as fishing boats or trawlers) due to its robust construction and reliable light output. Today it is a very beloved nautical collectible and mood light for in the house or in the garden. Important features of this lamp: • Material: Fully made from brass sheet. • Burner: Equipped with the well-known Kosmos burner. (now electrified) • Operation: Although this model was originally designed as an oil lamp, over the years there have also been many factory-original or subsequently converted electric variants (with an E27 fitting) on the market. Judging by the cord under the burner, this specimen is an electric version. • Reflector: The wide shade ensures that the light is effectively directed downward, which was ideal for lighting the cabin or a table. Comes with the lamp shown. This lot is well packed, shipped with track & trace.
