Dimoria Pastel Girls - Figurine - gesigneerd-EMIR O ge-inspireerd door Banksy

Signed by EMIR O – Seated girl with balloons in bronze color – Dimoria Pastel Girls – Resin sculpture – 22 cm SEATED GIRL WITH BALLOONS IN BRONZE COLOUR A remarkable figurative sculpture by the Mexican-American artist and designer EMIR O, from the Dimoria Pastel Girls collection. The piece shows a young girl calmly seated with legs crossed. With closed eyes she holds two balloons. Her serene facial expression and relaxed posture give the sculpture a dreamy, tranquil character. The turquoise of her clothing and hair forms a beautiful contrast with the warm bronze-toned finish of her skin and the balloons. The sculpture is made of high-quality resin and finished with a carefully applied bronze-colored patina. This gives it the classic look of a bronze artwork, while the object is made of resin. The sculpture is beautifully finished on all sides. The fine details in the face, hair, hands, clothing, shoes and balloon strings emphasize the high-quality decorative finish. EMIR O has created an extensive series with different depictions of girls, balloons, flowers and hearts. Each sculpture has its own pose and expression, yet together they form a recognizable part of the Dimoria Pastel Girls collection. These figures are highly collectible and a treat for a collector. Inspiration EMIR O draws inspiration from modern artists such as Banksy and Jeff Koons. The balloons and the combination of playfulness and symbolism align with contemporary art. At the same time, the calm pose and graceful design reveal influences from earlier artists such as Edgar Degas and Marc Chagall. Symbolism The piece can be read as a symbol of: * youth and innocence; * dreams, hope and freedom; * happiness and festivity; * letting go and longing; * inner peace and contemplation; * the fragility and transience of beautiful moments. The balloons symbolize freedom and lightness, but can also refer to dreams and memories that can drift away at any moment. The closed eyes give the girl a calm, almost meditative appearance.
