Dish - Sbalzato a mano in rame argentato - Copper - 1850/1900

Beautiful hammered and silvered copper plate. This hand-made plate from the late 19th century is a testament to Italian artisanal craftsmanship. To create such a work, a very complex process was used; in fact, the plate’s decorations were made by beating the metal from the back, almost in negative, so that the final result could be seen on the front, the visible side; this process, besides the time it takes, requires brilliant and unique manual skill. The copper plate was finished with silvering, of which today a large part remains. Dimensions Height 35 cm Width 35 cm Depth 4 cm Weight 700 g
