Doorstop - Iron - Victorian Era

This piece is an English heraldic lion fireplace ornament or doorstop, cast iron, from the Victorian era (1860-1890). It has 2 holes, suggesting it could have been screwed or adapted to hang on the wall. The back is concave, a main feature of 19th-century English iron castings to save metal and reduce weight. It measures 35 cm long and 20 cm high, and weighs 1.5 kg. It retains the patina of time. Shipping to Europe. On the islands the shipping price may vary. No shipments to the USA.
