A striking vintage mid-century hand-blown art glass pitcher / decanter crafted in vivid ruby-orange glass with an applied clear handle and a finely cut/faceted clear glass stopper. When exposed to UV light (365nm / 395nm blacklight), the lower body and core glow with a fiery, brilliant orange-red fluorescent reaction due to the inclusion of cadmium and selenium salts in the glass mixture during production. Design / Style: Mid-Century Modern Art Glass (likely Italian / Murano or Bohemian / Czech origin) Designer / Manufacturer: Attributed to Mid-Century European Art Glass (unmarked; reminiscent of Venetian/Murano or Empoli studio glass) Period: Mid-20th Century (ca. 1960s–1970s) Material: Hand-Blown Cadmium & Selenium Glass, Clear Crystal Condition: Excellent vintage condition.
